Networked File System (NFS) and the HP3000

4.5.4. Networked File System (NFS)

NFS is a means to access files and directories on other (networked) systems. Common in the Unix world (and inherited in the PC/Windows world) NFS is also available for the HP3000 through software developed by Quest and marketed and supported by HP. Users can "mount" remote file systems, and access files on remote systems as easily as local files.
