If you are referring to the Core IO card, it is not interchangeable w/the HP9000 version. If the problem is w/the scsi interfaces then one could add a separate scsi se or fw card and externalize the discs/tapes. If the problem is with the internal LAN then one could add a separate 10bt card. And, if the problem is with the console port, one could attempt to use the remote console feature via the modem.
